Three friends, one espresso machine. Everyone chips in whatever they like by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, capped so the total never overshoots the price. Anyone chipping in on a gift chooses upfront what happens if it is not fully funded.

Can I really not see what my friends are doing on my own list?
Really. Once you share, contributions, claims and amounts are locked away from your account, enforced in the database rather than merely hidden on screen. Once enough friends are involved that the number gives nothing away, you will see how many. Nothing else, until the reveal you choose.
Do my friends need to download anything?
No. They open the link on whatever phone they already have, put in a first name, and chip in. No app, no account, no sign-up wall. They can create an account later and keep everything they have already done.
Where does the money actually go?
Straight through Stripe to the organiser you nominate, into their own account. Sprisely never holds it at any point. The organiser buys the gift, and the card processing fee is shown to each person as its own line before they pay.
What if a gift does not reach its full amount?
You choose in advance. The raised amount can go to the organiser anyway, or each person can be refunded, minus the card processing fee that was already paid. Nobody is left guessing what happens to their money.
Which countries and languages does it work in?
The interface is in eight languages, and lists can be set in pounds, dollars, euros, Australian dollars or New Zealand dollars. Organisers receiving payouts need a bank account in a country Stripe supports for our platform, which today means the UK, Europe and the United States.
