Privacy policy
Sprisely helps small groups chip in on gifts. We store the least amount of personal information we need to make that work.
What we store
For account holders: your email, display name, optional avatar and country, and the lists and items you create. For guests: a first name you choose and, when you contribute, the name and email you enter at checkout. We never store card details.
Keeping the surprise
List creators can't see who contributed what, or claimed which item. This is enforced at the database level, not just in the UI.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. Sprisely never sees or stores your card details. Stripe's privacy policy applies to the payment step.
Transactional emails (confirmations, reminders, the reveal recap) are sent via Resend. We don't send marketing emails.
Affiliate links
Some shop links are affiliate links, so a purchase made through one may earn Sprisely a small commission from the retailer. The price paid is exactly the same either way, and it helps keep running costs down for everyone using the platform. Sprisely itself records nothing about these clicks: no click is stored here, and nothing on this side connects a person to a shop visit or to a particular gift. The retailer and the affiliate network do set their own cookies in order to attribute a purchase, in the same way they would for any link of this kind.
Retention
We keep list and contribution data for up to 24 months after the event date, then automatically remove personally identifying details while preserving the anonymised ledger for accounting integrity.
Your rights
You can request deletion of your account and data at any time (see "Delete my data" below). For any other privacy question, contact privacy@sprisely.com.
